These were excellent cookies. I Doubled the chocolate powder and added a 1/2 teaspoon of instant coffee. Very chocolatey! I only made one mistake. I left the cookies in a bitllonger thinking that they looked uncooked. Big mistake! Stick to the recommended time.
I followed the recipe using butter instead of margarine. I ended up with flat, wet cookies. Some of the worst cookies I've ever made. Surprised no one had this issue. I never cook with margarine. Is that what makes the difference?
My new favorite cookie! Sweet, chocolatey, chewy, yum! I used 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar, and just 1 cup butter and they turned out perfect! Thanks for the great recipe!
Very good cookies! I will definitely make this chocolate cookie again. I used butter instead of margarine. I used 1 cup sugar and 1 cup brown sugar. I also used about 14-15 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips. I got 47 nice sized cookies out of one batch.
My husband has these for breakfast. Every day. And I make them twice a week. Only variation is that we use half the amount of sugar so that they are not too sweet. But it's just a matter of taste.
These cookies are obnoxiously good! I had to mix up a few things though and use what I had on hand. Instead of margarine I used shortening, and I also used self-rising flour instead of all-purpose, just omitted the salt, and chocolate chunks, not chips. I was a little worried about the time, when I took out the first batch they were crazy gooey in the middle but after I let them cool, they were perfectly perfect! chocolate chocolate chip cookies are my husbands favorite, why I decided to surprise him with this yummy treat. So glad I did, these are his new fav :-)
Oh I can see why you would double these cookies...you could call them Incredible disappearing cookies :) A big hit with my boys, thanks!
These came out great! I can not describe how delicious these cookies were. We used half milk chocolate, half semi sweet chocolate chips. Big or small, they cooked great and tasted amazing.
Great, chocolately cookies. Used 1/2 sugar and 1/2 brown sugar; used 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup white chocolate chips since that is what I had on hand and it was terrific. At 9 minutes they seemed slightly underdone, but I took them out and let them sit on the baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to cooling rack. They ended up chewy and perfect.
Yep....half brown and half white sugar and only 1 cup of margerine worked great for me. Added a handfull of white chips too.
