I got this recipe from a girlfriend of mine, theses are the BEST chocolate chip cookies ever. I always triple the batch when I make them.
- Cream the first 5 ingredients together.
- Sift the remaining ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture.
- Drop onto cookie sheets and bake at 350° for about 8 to 10 minutes depending on your oven.
Delicious and chewy....I have added this one to my favorites. I got about 3 1/2 dozen cookies out of this recipe (about 2 1/2 inch diameter) so it seems to make more than the recipe indicates. I made this with white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts and they were delicious....and yes, people did ask for the recipe. This is a keeper!
I followed this recipe to a "t," for once didn't burn/mis-measure anything, and these cookies were a bit off. When I made them, they came out somewhat soft and spongey, like chocolate chip pancakes.
They are definitely chewy! I made half with choc. chips, and half with white chips and walnuts. The only strange thing about them was that when I used the white chips, some of them sort of 'fell out' of the bottom of the cookies and I had to poke the chips back in, which was odd. My fault though, not the recipe:). They are so soft and puffy cake-like cookies, they are quite thick. Mine took the full 10-11 minutes, and I have a small, hot oven. Great recipe, I'm putting them in my xmas goodie boxes.
