This is a delicious summer drink for the months of July and August when the fruits are available fresh. I make this for my kids for breakfast and snacks and they love it. It is from a really old Sunset (July 1990).
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1⁄2 cup crushed ice
- 2 cups pitted dark sweet cherries
- 1 medium nectarine, pitted and chopped
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons sugar
- orange wedge (to garnish)
- Puree the first six ingredients until smooth in a blender or food processor. Taste and add more sugar if desired. Pour into glasses and garnish with Orange wedge.
