This is a cute appetizer I found from Pilsbury. I substituted cooked bacon pieces for the pepperoni and it worked out great. This is a super easy to fix and tastes great!
- Preheat broiler.
- Slice 1/8" off stem end of tomatoes.
- Core each tomato.
- Fill each tomato with cheese, put a slice of pepperoni or bacon on top, then the top for the tomato.
- Secure with a toothpick.
- Place tomatoes on a baking sheet. Broil about 6" from the heat for 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Transfer to a paper towel lined plate to drain.
- Serve warm.
