    mary winecoff's Note:

You can make this in your crock pot to keep it warm for guests. The color is very pretty with the maraschino cherry juice. From the Cherry Marketing Institute.

I was gonna cut the recipe in half since there were just 2 of us, but then decided to go whole-hog & make it all, using some the next day, cold, as a base for smoothies (& those were very nice, too)! Will definitely keep this one in mind when the end-of-year holidays come around again, but even now it is a very comforting drink on a cold night! Thanks for sharing the recipe! This is delicious! Oh we all just loved having this last night. It's been a cold and rainy couple of days, so this cider really knocked out the dreariness. The addition of cherries is such a great idea. It's a beautiful color too. This is nice and sweet with a bit of spice. I will be making this again for Christmas and more. Made and Reviewed for Spring PAC 2009. Thanks! :)
