I too made this after watching the show and it is awesome... This Pie is credited to Phyllis Bartholomew and if you watched her she divulged a secret to getting "flaky" pie crust which was to hold back 1/3 cup of the flour crisco mixture and sprinkle on later after you have rolled the crust then fold into thirds and re-roll. Makes it almost Phyllo dough flaky!!! Anyway this is one of my all time favorites as well as I like a TART pie.

This is a review of the filling only as we needed a gluten free crust. The filling was fabulous!! It has so few ingredients that I was a little skeptical, but the contrasts of sweet and sour, and the distinct flavors of both cherry and raspberry was wonderful! Easy to make, highly recommended!

Very tasty! I used my own pastry, but followed the instructions to brush the hot milk on top and sprinkle with sugar (with excellent results, I might add) and I added another 1/4 cup of sugar because I had an extra cup of cherries. This was a spectacular pie. Tasty, pretty, and lovely with the after taste! Thank you for sharing such a fantastic recipe!

An outstanding pie. We loved the combination of the cherries with the raspberries - very tart! I made it exactly as stated and it turned out perfectly set. The crust turned out very flaky. Delicious. I will be making this pie all the time.

This is the best pie I have ever made! The recipe is really easy and gives you great results. Perfect amount of yummy glaze surrounding the fruit. The crust was really easy to put together too and I am bad at crust! That is why there is no pic! I really stink at making those pretty edges around the pie! I made it with all berries bc dd doesnt like the cherry 'bumps' in the pie! lol She has called them that since she was old enough to eat pie! Now she is 19 and still calls them 'bumps'. Anyway I used frozen berries that we grew here and picked last July. We froze them in quart bags so I just used one whole bag with the juice as instructed. The pie was just a little full but that made it all the better! I added a little more cornstarch to balance the difference- about 1 tsp or so. Didnt make any other changes at all- except adding a fork! lol Fantastic recipe me dear friend! Thanks for sharing it with all of us!
