Cherry pie filling doesn't get any easier than this, unless of course you buy it already prepared, but this doesn't even require you to pit the cherries!

Incredibly easy & delicious! As recommended by other reviewers, I added 1/2 tsp of almond extract & used cherry juice in place of the water.

  1. In a saucepan, cook cherries in water for 10 minutes. Mix together the sugar and cornstarch; add to cherries. Cook cherry mixture until thickened. Cool slightly before using to fill pie shell or other dessert.
