- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 (14 ounce) cans pie cherries, drained
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup nuts, chopped

Sauce
- cherry juice
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
directions
- Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs, salt and baking soda.
- Add cherries, nuts and flour; mix well.
- Put in greased and floured 13x9-inch glass dish.
- Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
- Blend together sauce ingredients.
- Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat.
- Pour over cherry pudding.
- Enjoy.
