This was so yummy! The cherries added a great sweet and sour flavour (I used organic golden cherries) and the nuts a nice crunch.
Due to personal preference I left out the sugar completely and really enjoyed the fruity flavour provided by the cherries.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Combine the water,, oats, cherries and salt in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon nuts, and cinnamon.
  5. Place 1 cup oatmeal in each of 6 bowls; sprinkle each serving with 1 teaspoon sugar.
  6. Top each serving with 1 1/2 teaspoon nuts; drizzle with 1 teaspoon oil.
