Nice little appy for those of you that like cherries and cream cheese. Cooking time includes chilling time.
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon maraschino cherry juice
- 1⁄8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄2 cup chopped maraschino cherry
- Combine all but cherries.
- Once well mixed, fold in the chopped cherries and then chill covered for 3 hours.
I skipped the nutmeg, and used this as a breakfast spread instead of an appetizer. It works great on bagels or toast or even on Dorothy's Blueberry muffins with Splenda - recipe 37014.
