This recipe comes from a Taste of Home magazine. I haven't made it yet. I'm putting it here so I don't lose it.Cook time includes chilling time.

  1. For crust:.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt.
  3. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Press firmly onto the bottom and sides of a 9 in pie plate.
  5. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cool completely.
  7. For pie filling:.
  8. In a saucepan, combine milk. chocolate chips, and salt.
  9. Cook, stirring over low heat until chocolate melts.
  10. Stir in cherry pie filling and almond extract.
  11. Pour into the cooled crust.
  12. Chill 2-3 hours or until firm.
  13. Garnish with whipped cream and marschino cherries, if desired.
