Very good cake! Moist and flavored nicely. I used it in a wedding cake, so we omitted the nuts and the cherry peices, but it was easy and the result is fantastic!

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 pan.
  3. Cream shortening and sugar.
  4. Add cherry juice and milk and mix well.
  5. Add flour and baking powder and mix well.
  6. Add cherries and nuts and mix well.
  7. Fold in egg whites last.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes or so.
  9. Cool and frost.
