Been craving bread pudding lately so when I saw this decided to give it a try. I scaled this down to four servings and prepared it in a small casserole dish. The smaller dish did not lend itself to whole slices of bread so I used 1 inch cubes and layered them as presented in the recipe. This was pure comfort; not to sweet but flavorful; a wonderful combination of textures with the soft creaminess of the center in contrast to the crispy exterior. Thanks!

This is excellent! I couldn't really layer it as ask because I made a 1/2 recipe in two seperate dishes that were very small. It ended up being all mixed together. I used Splenda brown sugar, skim milk and egg whites. Simply yummy!
