I think this is a great recipe for when you're dieting, i wouldn't make this just because of the taste. Like Jackie said it has a very earthy flavor, and my kids didn't really like that. For me the flavor was ok, but more like a lunch substitute when dieting. Made for the Tastebud Tickling Travellers, for ZWT4

This was not unpleasant, although I have found in the past that juicing beets gives quite an "earthy" flavor to whatever you are making. More importantly, it tasted really healthy, so I will be making this again. Made for ZWT4.

Toddler friendly recipe in this household, so I will be making it frequently. What a great way to get my son to "eat" his veggies!

Made for ZWT4...This was great! I was not sure of the beet since I don't really like them but went ahead and put it in. I did not like the first sip but continued to drink it anyway and it grew on me. By the time my glass was gone...I loved it.

Just wonderful! I had some gingeroot left over from another recipe, so I used this and the beets I had canned. I added some hot sauce to just give it the hot kick I like but certainly was not needed for anyone else. This is so good, I should be drinking this everyday! I whirled this up in my blender and just so yummy!

Absolute fantastic! I was surprised by this full flavored drink. I didn't have used a hopper, I've used the food processor and thined it with mineral water, so I can't rate the texture - I only rate the taste of it. I also used more gingerroot and it was great. In the end I added some drops of lime juice and this made the cocktail even more fresh. Very simple to make cocktail, with an outstanding colour and packed with flavour. Why not serve this healthy cocktail for guests as a starter? Thanks Rita, this cocktail rocks.

This is one humzinger of a drink! (I added way more gingerroot, so be careful!) Amazing flavour and deep down satisfying. Makes a very generous 8 oz glassful. Love it, thanks for posting, chef Rita!
