Made for the FYC Tag Game & served as a side to accompany ham & a mixed green salad. Potatoes are revered here in Iceland & considered a requirement of every meal. Icelanders are happy even if they are simply boiled, but I prefer more flavor w/o the need to add an excess of butter. These potatoes are indeed very flavorful. Green onions are not always readily available here & that was the case again, so I subbed chopped leek for them & otherwise made the recipe as written. Thx for sharing this recipe, breezer. We liked it a lot. :-)

Delicious and very easy to make. Made as directed with Black Forest and twice smoked bacon from Whole Foods. Went very well with our barbecued chicken and steamed artichokes. Thanks, breezermom!

Yum, I love scalloped potatoes and these are extra-special with the bacon and green onions!!! I did scale down but still had plenty for us to enjoy with a bit left over for my husband the next day! This was a treat we no longer enjoy often, so was extra-special, thank you breezermom! Made for I Recommend tag game

I scaled back for 3 serves but used 4 potatoes for 4 of us and we still had a small portion left over very rich and delicious, though I must add I did nto use thje celery seeds due to dietry strictions, though I found it needed more than 15 minutes for it to brown and after 15 minutes moves it to the fan forced oven for 10 minutess to give it it browness, thank you breezermom made for 123 Hits tag game.

Scaled this back to a serving for two and it was a great side with our baked chicken. I was out of green onions so used some shallots. Were nice and creamy and tender; not like some scalloped potatoes that turn out watery and not completely cooked. Made for ZWT8.

Awesome! I'm not usually a fan of scalloped potatoes, but these were great. While I was taking pictures of these, 2 guys working in my yard tried a little bit and both exclaimed these were the best potatoes ever! lol. Thanks for sharing a great keeper, breezer. Made for ZWT8 - Australia.

Loved this version of scalloped potatoes!!! Bacon makes everything better, right? My DS, who is the only other member of the family that likes scalloped potatoes is gone on vacation with his girlfriend, so I decided to scale this back for one, using 2 medium potatoes. I made this for lunch, figured with a salad, I had a good balance of protein, carbs and veggies. This amount made enough for 2 servings, so I have enough for another lunch, yum!!! I made this as written except I skipped on the bay leaf, not a favorite of mine. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for Photo Tag Game.
