Cheesy Sausage and Rice

One summer day we were hungry and stranded at the house. We looked in the house and came up with these ingredients. Put them together, and ended up creating my favorite meal! It's so fast and easy!!!! Enjoy!

This had great flavor and was super easy to make and clean-up. My Husband and son also gobbled it up. I did add the cheese to melt directly in the pan before serving, a can of peas for some green and a touch of half-and-half to thin it. None of those things change the taste, though, so I give all 5-stars to the recipe gladly and will make over and over again. Thank you.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (16 ounce) package ground pork breakfast sausage (I use the spicy however you can use whatever you want)
  • 1 (11 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 4 cups white rice
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (Any kind of shredded cheese will work, I really like the jack cheese blend. -- )

Directions

  1. Boil the rice.
  2. In the meantime, brown up the sausage, drain and add the can of cream of chicken.
  3. Put rice in a bowl scoop a spoonful or two of the sausage mixture over the rice.
  4. Add cheese to your desire!
  5. Eat!
