This was a nice recipe, lovely & cheesy but I found that the sauce really soaked into the macaroni & it was kids of dried out by the time the cooking was done. When I make this again I think I will skip the oven part and just mix the cheese sauce through the macaroni and hot dogs. Rather than onion I used an onion stock cube just so 4 yr old DD wouldn't complain...it worked well. Thanks for posting!

Cheesy & Creamy! The perfect kid pleaser & comfort food. I did leave out the onion. I only used 5 turkey hotdogs & 8 oz of Velveeta. I also added in 1/2 cup of sharp cheddar cheese. I didn't notice the "cooked" hotdog part so I just cut up the dogs & added it to the cooked macaroni. They seem to cook just fine in the oven. Made for Photo Tag

I would have given a higher rating, but I find Velveeta vile. It isn't technically even cheese. I make using 1 cup of sharp cheddar and 1/4 cup of parmasean. I mix the breadcrumbs with 1 Tbs of butter and 2 Tbs of bacon before topping. T
