Not the healthiest of appetizers, and I don't remember where it came from, and it may sound odd, but it's really very tasty.
- 1 large store made Italian bread
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 (6 ounce) canssliced jalapenos, diced
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded mexican cheese

- Mix the peppers into the butter. Mix the cheese into the mayo. Cut the bread in half lengthwise. Spread butter/jalapeno mixture on both halves of bread, and then spread the mayo/cheese mixture on both halves of the bread. Bake at 350 until brown and bubbling about 20 minutes.
