Great concept! I will definitely make this again. I think where I failed a bit was in trying to make my own bacon bits. The bacon flavor was overpowering. Next time, I'll use the packaged ones. I used strips of cream cheese for the laces of the ball because pimento is red....laces are white. lol....anyway, thanks for posting!

I did this for our last Super Bowl party (several days before the game because we actually went to Detroit to cheer on our Seahawks). It was really cute and everyone loved it. Thanks for posting.

I made this as one of my appetizers for my super bowl party and it was really cool. It didn't go, but that's probably because I had quite a spread. I will definitely be making this again next year!

I made this for a pre-super bowl party that was last night. It was very easy to make and looked very much like a football. Everyone commented on how cute it was! And it tastes really good too. One note: I only needed 3 oz of bacon bits and that covered the whole thing really well. Thanks for the great ball game recipe!
