These are good! I used the dough for Laudee's Wowlers! (Runzas), and divided the dough into 12 portions. I was afraid I couldn't get the pockets closed well enough. A little of the filling did leak, but not so much. I sauted 2 small red bell peppers with the garlic, instead of using jarred pimiento. Didn't change anything else. I'm looking forward to freezing some and having them for future lunches. I used 2 cups of cooked fresh broccoli, which I cooked first. I will want to make sure to salt to taste next time. Thank you very much for sharing this recipe with us.
barb i always am looking at your recipes as i have similiar tastes only wish my cookbook could be seen but I dont have premier membership anymore. i love so much of you recipes and reviews. this is great!
I have been making this recipe for the last year. I found it in a free recipe card that I got in the mail. It is excellent. We make it at least once a month. My two young children love it and does my husband. Its a great, yummy way to get your kids to eat broccoli! Love it, Love it, Love it!
These were great! I substituted dried sweet cranberries for the roasted red peppers, and added a little gorgonzola cheese, but your recipe is a winner!
Barb, I made these tonight, and WOW are they ever delicious!...wonderful tasty cheesy filling, and I just loved the taste of the red peppers. I used a bit more garlic than stated, and used a couple jars of store-bought roasted red peppers... used my own frozen bread dough that I keep in the freezer...broccoli is one of my favorites, so when I noticed this recipe, I knew that I just had to try it... this definately is a real winner, highly recommended, and easy to prepare with the frozen dough...something similar to a calzone, but with a super-yummy broccoli/cheese filling, so good, we enjoyed these so much...thanks Barb for posting, I can't wait to make these again.... KC :-)
