I made these for a holiday cookie exchange, and they were a HIT! Everyone thought I had spent so much time on them when they were actually less work than baking anything! I used Devil's Food Cake Cookies instead of the peppermint cookies, and they were great. My children (2 and 4) had a great time helping me make them too. Thank you for the great project!
My daughter used this recipe for a project for 3-5 year old children at the daycare that she works at. Everyone loved these and the children had soooo much fun. Thanks for a great recipe! :)
My kid and I had a lot of fun making these. They were a big hit at the potluck I attended.
I made these for my daughter's preschool class, along with potato stick "fries" and chocolate milkshakes. I think if the teacher hadn't announced that the kids were going to eat "cheeseburger cookies" instead of saying "cookies that look like cheeseburgers", it would have gone over much better. LOL I found these to be VERY sweet and not much to my liking. However, I have to give them bonus points for being flat out adorable. I used my edible play dough recipe for the patties and cheese and they truly did look like little cheeseburgers. Thank you for this fun recipe.
So easy to make and what a big hit! Thanks Parrot Head Mama! I used reduced fat nilla wafers and they seemed to be a bit larger than the regular ones so the "burger" fit better.
This always a hit when I take it to a party. I also make peanut butter fudge and use a crinkle cutter to make "french fry" fudge to go on the plate I take. I sprinkle coarse sugar on the fudge to simulate "salt".
Couldn't have been easier. They are fun cookies, that taste good as well.I can't wait to put them on trays for the little ones.Thanx
My kids and I made these yesterday, we had a blast putting them together and the kids loved eating them. Took some to hubby's work, everyone was impressed. What a clever idea, Thanks for shaing it!
These are super cute!! I made them with my 4 yo daughter and my 1 yo daughter (she spirinkled the coconut). We had so much fun - I did want to mention that the cookies we got, the "Grasshopper" cookies were a tad too large for the wafers - next time I think I'll use the mini peppermint patties as others have done. Thanks!!
