You can substitute jelly for the apple butter if you prefer.

  1. Combine butter and cheese.
  2. Add flour and mix thoroughly.
  3. Shape into rolls 18" long and 1-1/2 inches in diameter.
  4. Wrap rolls in foil or waxed paper.
  5. Chill at least 3 hours.
  6. Preheat oven to 350º.
  7. Slice dough about 1/4 inch thick.
  8. Place slices about 1/2 inch apart on non-stick foil-covered baking sheet.
  9. Bake 8-10 minutes, or till light brown.
  10. Carefully remove from sheet and allow to cool.
  11. Sandwich apple butter between two rounds.
