Okay, so whenever I tell anyone I ate a cheese waffle for breakfast they think I am disgusting but they are so good! Me and my mom are obsessed with them.
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 eggs, seperated
- 1⁄2 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- shredded cheese
- Combine flour, milk, egg yolks, oil, and salt.
- Just before baking fold in baking powder and stiffly beaten egg whites.
- Pour batter into waffle iron and sprinkle as much shredded cheese as you desire on top of the batter.
These taste sooo good! I used extra sharp white cheddar. I did mix the cheese in to the batter. Even my 5 year old picky eater gobbled them up. Thanks!
These are awesome April Joy, I like to add finely chopped onions and green chiles to mine. mmmmmmmmm they are tasty!
Cheese waffles rock! But I always mix the shredded cheese into the batter. Want to know what's even better than cheese waffles? Ham and cheese waffles. Awesome of you to post this recipe, hopefully other people will discover how good these are.
