This is a great side dish.
- 6 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- In a large skillet over medium heat, saute potatoes in butter until almost tender and lightly browned.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Add milk.
- Simmer uncovered until milk is absorbed.
- Top with cheese.
- Heat until melted.
- Stir before serving.
