"This is a great cheese pie recipe from my Mother-In-Law. It's actually easy to make and the sour cream topping is great."

directions

 • To make pie crust add melted butter (1/2 cup plus 3 Tbls. butter) to graham cracker crumbs and press into pan. (Or you can purchase pre-made pie crust).
 • Mix cream cheese, sugar, eggs and vanilla, pour over graham cracker crust.
 • Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. (Oven Temps. vary).
 • Meanwhile, blend together ingredients for topping.
 • Remove pie let cool for about 10 minutes. Pour sour cream topping mixture over cake. Return to oven for about 12 to 15 minutes.
 • Remove pie from oven, let cool some, then chill and serve.
 • NOTE: Do not place hot pie into refrigator straight from oven, this could harm your refrigator.
 • You can serve it plain or use cherry, strawberry or blueberry pie filling to top this pie. Makes for a great change.
 • You can also press the graham cracker crumbs into a 9" x 13" cake pan and follow the rest of the recipe to finish as a cheese cake.

 1. I think there is tooooo much sugar in this recipe! top was crusty and it was way too sweet. top browned as previous comment said. It needs to be tweaked!

 2. This is very similar to a traditional New York Style cheesecake but lacks lemon juice and uses more vanilla. Baked in a springform cheesecake pan, ours browned around the edges before the center was set; it was delicious anyway but would have been better if cooked longer and at lower temperature. A family member suggested putting a pan of water in the oven with it; we haven't tried that but it seems sensible. Thanks for an easy and tasty cheesecake, which was served at our Easter family dinner. Made for Pick A Chef, April 09.

How time flies.

Both my kids love to cook, they always from the time they could sit on the counter were in the kitchen helping Momma cook. Each night they would take turns holding onto the mixer with me while I mixed the mashed potatoes or help me stir one pot or the other.

We just recently purchased a Honda VTX 1800cc motorcycle. There are plenty of them that is for sure.
