Great recipe - very easy to make, and quite tasty! :) I didn't have any sharp cheddar, so I used medium this time, which made for a bit blander taste than I would prefer - next time I'll probably go for sharp cheddar, or maybe add a bit of cayenne pepper or something to spice it up. All in all, though, this is definitely something I'd make again. Thanks for the recipe, Derf!
This bread has a very nice flavor and was easy to prepare. I did, however, find it a little heavy and dry. I have discovered that if it is thinly sliced and toasted it makes a lovely breakfast item.
This is one of the absolute easiest loafs I've ever made. I got it in the oven in less than 5 minutes. I used skim milk and 2% cheese with no problem. Be sure to check it in the middle though. (I didn't and had some gooey places to cut out!) Really nice flavor and would be a great easy addition to a soup or stew dinner in the winter. I'm sure I'll make it again then. Thanks Derf!
I have made this recipe its very nice, although i suggest to add 1 whole egg, and 2 cups of milk, also i used self-raising flour with 2 flat teaspoon of Baking powder, i also gratted some black pepper.
This was so easy to make. I served it for Motherâ€™s Day Brunch. I followed the recipe exactly and took 35 minutes to bake. This loaf is like a big cheese biscuit... YUMMM! My mom request a couple of slices to take home.
