Made for the *Best of 2008* cookbook game + FTs *Prop It Up* photo challenge & tagged from fellow-gypsy M2Rs faves, I put a twist on your recipe by making the pie crust for the recipe vs using leftover pie crust. Using the crust from Rustic Salmon Pie by Bergy (a pers fave) & otherwise made as written, I let my imagination run amuck thru what I had on-hand & made a variety that included mini-choc chips, strawberry preserves, coconut, caramel syrup, sugared cinnamon w/nutmeg & Red Hot cinnamon candies. The end result was a smorgasbord of taste treats & fun day in my kitchen. They are so easy to fix & would be ideal as a bite-size brunch finale, after-school treats for kids or when you just want to indulge yourself w/something yummy. Haven't tried, but just want to say that I think the name is perfect. The first two words alone made me want to check out this recipe. How can you go wrong with anything that starts out with "Cheese Danish. . ." : )
