I agree - this is absolutely delicious. Love to add something new at our summer gatherings and this was a real hit, made for an empty bread platter. We enjoyed every bite.Thank you sugarpea for a recipe that is so a repeatable.
This was absolutely delicious! I didnt have the sesame seeds so had to omit them, but it was even great without them. It would be so easy to add garlic to this if you wanted to. Definitely will make this again, as it was gobbled up with raves! Thanks, sugarpea!
This bread was great! When we have French bread we usually have some left over but there wasn't a crumb left wtih this topping on it. Thanks Sugarpea.
I asked my husband to rate this- after dinner he said that the bread was great- but for him to give it 5 stars, it would need some garlic salt mixed in. The kids ate it, which makes me happy.
Yes, I agree, this bread IS to die for....we had this with our BBQ chicken tonight...I prepared it ahead, and then broiled it in the oven...I could have just made a meal of that bread alone, eaten the whole loaf by myself, and just forgot about any chicken, DH and myself were fighting over this great bread! ...this is a definate winner, I will be making this again...THIS WEEKEND!, and I will be making two loaves...thank you so much Sugarpea for posting such a wonderful recipe...this bread is a must try!!!!KC :)
This is just great stuff!! I was looking for a different snack to make...and I found this!! Followed the recipe to the T and there is nothing I would want to change to it. It is great stuff!!! I can't wait to make some more. This time I have made my own french loaf. Should be done soon, i can't wait!
This bread is to die for!! My family flipped over it, as did I, we were fighting over the last piece! I made this as is, using a loaf of rustic, artisan bread from our local store's bakery. Do watch it closely under the broiler, about 5 minutes was enough for ours. I loved the 'different' ingredients of sour cream and sesame seeds. Thanks so much sugarpea, I'm planning on doing this again very soon (next Monday for an Italian dinner I'm making)
