"These make a great snack or lunchbox treat, really simple to make, they can be eaten hot or cold. Ham can be used instead of bacon if you prefer."

  1. I scaled it back to a half recipe and used the ham option and subbed spring onion for the onion due to allergy issues. I got 9 from the mix baking them in well greased small muffin tin holes. This made a delightful tasty morsel of a snack. Thank you **Mandy**, made for Gimme 5 Recipe Tag Game.

  2. I used a combo of bacon and ham (I pre-cooked the bacon before using, as the recipe didn't state if uncooked could be used) and I thought they were way better right out of the oven than on the morning after. Everyone at bruch seemed to like them though and they were all eaten. (Baked at 375 for 18 min, but mine were a little smaller, as I got 19 rounds from this recipe.)

  3. These are little gems of an appetizer or snack! They taste like little bacon and cheese biscuits but with such a light texture - not heavy at all and such a wonderful mix of flavors. These will be made often at our home! Thanks Mandy. Made for BevTag Jan08.

  4. These little things are fantastic! They a bit crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and sooooo tasty! I added a little extra mustard..... just because I love mustard. These are great for snacks, breakfast, brunch...anything. I will be adding these to my "football munchies" recipes. Can't wait to try these with the ham, too! Thanx for sharing.

  5. These are GREAT! WISH more than 5 stars I could rate! Put 1 tablespoon French mustard it as I did not see! What it ACTUALLY said in the recipe! STILL came out GREAT! SO easy to do! So thank you sincerely from me to you!

Melbourne I live on a 5 acre property in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria, Australia, having moved from the burbs when I became pregnant with my now 15 year old daughter Alyssa. Once my daughter was born I became a stay at home mum as I couldn't bear the thought of putting her in daycare. She is the light of my life, I never imagined myself as a mum when younger but now wouldn't have it any other way. Alyssa was made a big sister on the 19th April 2010 when our cheeky little boy Blake was born. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes so quickly become addicted to Zaar as it was previously known & still use it regularly. In addition to being my kids taxi  I also spend my time, reading, gardening and of course shopping. I'm lucky enough that we have the space & so love growing our own fruits, vegies & herbs, this also means we have plenty of room for animals & at the moment have 2 dogs, Max, a Jackshund who's 6, Fletcher, a Kelpie who's 4, 6 cats Snowpea, Fergus, Ginger, Tango, Annie & Cookie, 4 chooks & 2 Ducks. As well as our pets, we also have a lot of native animals around our area, we have kangaroos, wombats, echidna's, possums as well as rosella's, galah's & Cockatoo's hence the name of where I live..
