Healthy Low GL Smoothie for those chocolate cravings.
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 2⁄3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon cocoa
- 1 medium banana, cut into chunks
- 1⁄2 teaspoon fresh grated gingerroot or 1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon flax seed
- 1 teaspoon agave syrup (optional)
- Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
Very yummy! This has a very earthy taste with the perfect amount of sweetness. The ginger gave it a very interesting flavor that I liked a lot, but I think you have to really like ginger. I think that it would be good with natural peanut butter instead of the ginger. I love that this has almost NO added sugar. Thanks!
