I was looking for something to accompany some soup for dinner and came across this recipe. I used some rye bread instead of the cocktail rye, as that's what I had on hand. Wow it was great. My family loved this and enjoyed it more than the soup it accompanied. It was the star of the meal. The green onions gave it a great onion taste, the mayonaise made it creamy and who doesn't love melted cheese? Thanks for posting this.
