My father made this recipe up to use with patridge breasts. I use chicken breasts. Cooked in cheddar sauce & served over egg noodles, it is a very delicous meal.
- 4 chicken breasts
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 (8 ounce) cans cheddar cheese soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
- In large skillet, cook bacon & set aside. Season chicken breasts with salt & pepper. Brown in skillet with bacon drippings. When brown, place in a covered casserole dish or roaster. Combine soup & milk & pour over chicken. Crumble bacon & place on top. Cover & bake in 375 oven for 1 hour. Remove cover & bake 15 minutes more. Serve over egg noodles.
My husband and I really liked this recipe, it's definitely a keeper! Even the leftovers were still yummy.
