My Mother made these. She did not use chopped pecans in the dough. Rather than using a fork to flatten she would press a pecan half on top of each small ball. I bake them on top rack in oven for 15 minutes at 350. Getting ready to make some now. I normally use a couple of shakes of cayenne pepper. It's very easy to use too much. These are a holiday favorite at my house. She called them cheese biscuits. Not sure why but everyone knew what she meant and lined up for them.

  1. Cream butter and cheese in food processor.
  2. Add flour, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Add pecans.
  4. Roll into balls and flatten with a fork.
  5. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
