From a Galveston-area church cookbook, a wonderful and moist cake.

The cake was moist. The frosting very creamy. I didn't use the pecans, not all of us like them. I ended up sprinkling some powder sugar on top of the cake because my little helper wanted it. I made a 2 layer cake. This was really good. Mother and I had to have a piece of it right after I frosted it. Thank you for the wonderful 5 star recipe.
