Amazing flavors and so simple to make. I will definitely be making this again!!
Family favorite! I use half mayo and half miracle whip...
my wife said that this was the best chiken salad that i ever made !<br/>substituted 3 large green onions minced,3/4 cup hellmans mayo, one large cup crushed pecans ,and 1and1/4 cups green grapes quartered.Cudos to charlie.
This was my first time ever making chicken salad, but I knew I wanted it to taste like my mother-n-law's and this recipe looked like it would. I'm not a fan of Miracle Whip so I used real mayo and used half white and half red seedless grapes and added Craisons. It was wonderful, and the whole family loved it. Next time I think I'll mix the mayo and Miracle Whip half and half to see if I can get it just a smidge more tangy. Thanks so much for the recipe Sherri :o)
Wow. All I can say is wow. Absolutely the best chicken salad I have ever had. So many chicken/shrimp salad recipes are dominated by the ick factor, that slippery slimy sensation of a mouthful of mayo. But this salad, though it calls for Miracle Whip (or mayo) is counterbalanced by the perfect amount of crunch because of the crisp/sweet red grapes, nuts, and celery. A true keeper.
This is a real winner! Everyone at our event raved about it! It was great alone, or as a sandwich filling. It will definitely be a go to for future gatherings. I served it along with rolls and romaine lettuce, (for wraps) NOTE: I did substitute mayo for miracle whip. This allows for a gluten free salad (using Hellman's, Wegman's or Berman's)
Delicious! I omitted nuts (allergies) used regular mayo and added fresh tomatoes. Wrapped in flour tortillas makes an easy fresh summer dish.
Yuck. My whole family gagged
Love this recipe! It's perfect as is!:) but sometimes I will add half mayo and half miracle whip because I love them both! Salad seasoning gives it a nice touch also! But it's delicious just the way it is!:)
