Saw this on Emeriel Laggasse, so simple and elegant, a perfect celebrations drink. We have it on New Years and for our Anniversary
- 0.13 ml bitters
- 1 fluid ounce Grand Marnier
- 4 fluid ounce champagne
- Put 2 drops of bitters into a champagne glass, then Grand Marnier.
- Fill rest of glass with Champagne.
I did see Emeril make this. I used the Holland House Orange Bitters being Grand Marnier is Orange flavored. And followed my method in the recipe Grand Champagne Recipe #49905 for sugar coaating the rim! Elegant yes!
Very delicious. My variation is 1 drop Angostura bitters on a sugar cube in bottom of white wine glass with a slice of orange and a drop of brandy. Fill with chilled champagne.
