This is like a fireplace and a warm blanket in a cup. It is comforting and energizing and relaxing and addictive all at the same time. It's kind of a lot of work for a cup of tea, but it is worth every minute. This is wonderful to serve to company instead of coffee and is sure to impress.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Mix all ingredients except sugar and tea.
  2. Bring to a boil, then turn down to a simmer.
  3. Simmer mixture for 12 minutes.
  4. Add tea bag.
  5. Simmer 3 more minutes.
  6. Strain into a large mug.
  7. Add sugar or honey to taste.
  8. Enjoy!
