This is a great basis for additions. Try adding shrimp or boneless chicken chunks. Very good.

Sorry, I just did not like this. I make broccoli and maccaroni often, but I don't usually thicken it with cornstarch. I think it is just a personal preference. Thank you for the recipe anyway.

Good, but not sure why the mushrooms are there, I've never had cavatelli & broccoli with mushrooms in it... they seemed a little out of place to me, but great recipe!

great recipe! picked this since chef was "chef of the day". loved your bio!!! this was very simple to make and the taste was so good. followed recipe except the cornstarch; thought i had some and did not. doubtful that it hurt the recipe. all of the flavors blended together nicely and my 3 yr old daughter loved it. used all organic ingredients and my 3 yr old daughter loved it. served it with some good italian bread and tiramisu for dessert for her and i. thanks for sharing.

This was good. You really need the garlic salt (I used garlic pepper also) to give it flavor. I used fresh broccoli chopped fine, which gives it a more vibrant color than the photo shows.

Very Good! I substituted grated romano cheese for the parmesan, thats what I had in refrigerator. To begin with I held back on the garlic salt, thinking I used 4 extra large cloves of fresh garlic in step 1.....but, I found myself adding it at the end. I don't know why, but the fresh garlic flavored it, but it needed the garlic salt for a spark. It is not a recipe I would make as a main course being that it lacked meat.....and as a side, it makes too much. But I will be saving the recipe for family get togethers, picnics, and pot lucks. It would serve me best there as it makes an ample amount and would be something diffrent. Thanks for posting.

Wonderful. I subbed olive oil for some of the butter and added 1/2tsp of red pepper flakes. Now that I'm looking at the picture I can see that I didn't chop all the broccoli as Bri did in her photo, just the stem portion. I liked the color and texture that the whole florets added. Great recipe, Bri. This carboholic loved it.
