This is a terrific different way to serve cauliflower! Very easy to make too. I didn't bother trying to form the mixture into patties, just put a scoop in the skillet and flattened it with the back of the spatula. Once the first side was cooked they were easy to flip and they came out great. I did add a little salt, pepper, and parsley. Thanks for posting this recipe! Made for Spring PAC 2010

This actually reminds me of something my grandmother used to make from leftover mashed potatoes. I'm going to keep this in mind for the next time I have leftover steamed cauliflower that gets a little too soft. I like the idea of this recipe, but it does lack some seasoning. DH would like these with cheese. I think I'll try mixing some shredded parmesan or manchego in with the mix. We did add salt, pepper, and a little thyme, but they still needed something. They were a little difficult to form into patties at first, but I found that just mixing in a little extra bread crumbs worked great. The size of cauliflower head varies, as would the amount of moisture in and clinging to the cauliflower, so more or less bread crumbs may be needed. Thanks for posting! Made for PAC Fall 2008.

I really enjoyed these, I added the flour to mine, I will make this again using the bread crumbs though I didn't have any at the time. I did add some pepper flakes. It tasted great. Thanks

Hello Studentchef, we liked these a lot! Used matzoh meal instead of breadcrumbs, used 2 eggs instead of one, used red pepper flakes along with the salt and fresh ground pepper and they were delicious! I also found out that this a typical sephardi dish for Pesah. Thanks for sharing, Diane :=)

I added salt & freshly ground pepper, but still a little bland and the patties wouldn't hold together. However DH liked them more than I did.
