- 946.36 ml cauliflower, broken in florets
- boiling water, to cover
- 473.18 ml cubed cooked ham
- 283.49 g canned mushrooms (saute fresh first) or 236.59 ml fresh mushrooms (saute fresh first)
- 29.58 ml butter
- 29.58 ml flour
- 2.46 ml salt
- 236.59 ml milk (I like 2% evaporated)
- 236.59 ml cubed sharp cheddar cheese
- 118.29 ml sour cream (low fat ok)
- 118.29 ml fresh breadcrumbs or 118.29 ml dried breadcrumbs
directions
- Cook cauliflower in boiling water until tender crisp and drain.
- Add ham and mushrooms and mix well.
- Melt butter in saucepan, mix in flour and salt and gradually whisk in milk until it boils and thickens.
- Add cheese.
- Stir until melted, add sour cream and stir until smooth.
- Put cauliflower mixture in 3-quart casserole, pour sauce over top and sprinkle with crumbs Bake uncovered at 350°F for 30-40 minutes.
