This is good! I used some broccoli with it and used the lower fat method with cornstarch & low fat milk. I'm thinking this is better with the 1/2 & 1/2 or cream but still really yummy lowfat. I will make this again!
I made 1/2 of a recipe, and used cream and water rather than 1/2 & 1/2. That was the only thing I didn't have in the house. We liked it, and I will make it again, and not change a thing.
Outstanding!! The only thing is it says it will serve 6-8 people, weeellll, it just took the two of us to polish the whole thing off!! Evelyn this was a great recipe! Thank you!!! (I followed the recipe as stated. I steamed the cauliflower in the microwave for two minutes)
We made this on Friday and loved it so much we made it on Sunday, very good. We did use the milk option as that is what we had.
Made using milk and cornstarch. Half a recipe was just about right as a side dish for 3 of us with some left over. Recipe didn't say how long to cook so I used the cook time in the heading. It was way too long and the custard broke down. I knew it was cooking too long but I wanted it ready with the rest of the meal. I don't think it affected flavor, just looked a little funky. Loved the crunchy topping. Will probably make again.
Tasted mostly like cheese on top of caulifower, the half and half and eggs really didn't make much of a sauce. Still very tasty and slightly addictive. Am considering heating up some leftovers as I type:) Thanks for sharing the recipe!
OMG..What an awsome recipe. Thank you
I love cauliflower and I loved this recipe. It was so good . Thanks for posting!! Pollyw
This was a good way to eat cauliflower. I used very mature cheddar cheese and 1/4 tsp pepper and added 1/8 tsp salt. Thank you for posting! I will make this again.
I made this for a dinner party and it was a big hit. Very tasty. I agree with some others that it does not really feed 8 people unless they were very small eaters. There were 4 of us and it was mostly gone. Definitely worth the time and effort to make though
