Make and share this Caterer's Basic French Salad Dressing recipe from Food.com.
- 1⁄2 cup vegetable oil
- 1⁄3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1⁄3 cup unbleached cane sugar
- 1⁄2 cup catsup
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon paprika
- Whisk ingredients together in a bowl. Makes 1 3/4 cups dressing.
Made this today andcut it down to 1/2 cup and wish I would have made more...delicious. Just like the French dressing my mom made when I was a kid. I did add about 1/8 tsp. of garlic powder but other than that followed it as written. DH and I had it over a mixed green salad and Amy's Easiest Ever Potato Soup#366404. Wonderful lunch. Made for Spring PAC. Thank you!
