I made these for my Super Bowl party and they turned out great! I used extra lean ground beef (because I didn't want a lot of grease) and only 2T of dried onion flakes. I was wondering how hard it was going to be to split the little buns in half, but they pulled apart so easily! I served these with small bowls of ketchup and mustard for dipping and my guests seemed to like the mustard best. Will definitely make these again in the future. Thanks sbsbea!

Made this for the super bowl and really liked them. Used hot dog buns cut into thirds and also 93% ground sirloin. Next time will add more onion and more salt and pepper. Made a double batch and we ate them all!

These were ok. They might have been better is I served them at home immediately. I took them to a Super Bowl party, but I think they got lost a lot with the temperature.

Make these for every gatering I go to. Always a big hit! I like to mis some katsup & mayo for dipping these mini into. I also add a dill pickle slice to each bite.

First item to be eaten from my recent BBQ, guests loved them. I'd recommend using more than 1 lb of beef and/or leaner beef because my 80/20 shrunk a bit and crumbled some. To save time I used Martin's party rolls which come in a 24 pack and were the perfect size. Also this recipe made 24 little burgers, not 48. So double it if you want more.

Awesome! Made these for New Years and they were all gone quickly! I like this much better than my other white castle recipe and will use this from now on! I think I may try adding some cheese to the mix next time as my daughter was breaking up little pieces of cheese to add to the top. Thanks for posting a great recipe!

A total hit! I doubled the batch as I took them to the company xmas party. I pressed the meat flat onto a half sheet cake pan, it cooked up very evenly. The whole time I make them I felt like I was so clever, they really are easy but look impressive. I served with fry sauce. I may even make these for a quick evening dinner. Thanks for a great keeper!

As suggested, I used 8 hotdog buns and cut them into three pieces. I discarded the round ends which I used for the breadcrumbs. Also, I placed the seasoned hamburger into a 7 inch by 11 inch pan and cut them into 20 pieces which made them alittle thicker(which I liked much better). Next time, I will increase the salt to 1 tsp. instead of 1/2 tsp. - it lacked alittle flavor. Overall, the recipe was GREAT, EASY and I will try it next time with breadstick dough. Thanks for sharing!
