Brazil nuts are said to resemble macadamia nuts and even coconuts. This is an everyday snack in Brazil.
Directions:
1
Preheat broiler, and arrange nut meats on a cookie sheet. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil over them.
2
Place under broiler for 2 to 3 minutes until nuts are heated through.
3
Remove from oven, pat nuts dry with paper towels. Place in a paper bag with salt.
4
Shake the bag to coat with salt and serve warm. Enjoy!
Ratings & Reviews:
What a wonderful snack!!!! Very nutritious and so tasty! Mmmm! The flavour of the nuts is deep and slightly roasty with the salt adding just the right amount of seasoning. I thought maybe just salt would be too plain, but no it was perfect. I used a very good sea salt from France and I think that was a good choice with these nuts. Instead of using the broiler I heated my oven to 375F and roasted the nuts til slightly darker in colour. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this wonderful recipe with us, Sharon! Ill definitely make it again. Made and reviewed for Veggie Swap # 25 August 2010.

I'm Brazilian and I've never heard of this snack, so it's definitely not traditional. I'll try it out this weekend to see if it's good, though. :)
