  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Melt the butter, and blend with sugar in a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Beat in the egg.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients, and mix into the butter mixture.
  5. Stir in grated carrots, vanilla and rasins.
  6. Spoon into a buttered 8x8 pan.
  7. Sprinkle with nuts.
  8. Bake for 25-20 minutes.
  9. After cooled, cut into squares.
