"This is the recipe given to me by a bartender at Carrabba's Italian Restaurant for their famous Blackberry Sangria. Goes down very easily, so be careful!"

Questions & Replies

  1. Once I mixed all ingredients Except the wine, it was like double the amount they giving on take out orders with a bottle of wine. I guess my question is I bought the exact wine they sold me for the mixture. Its a 750ML bottle. Is that going to be enough...Is that equilivant to 1.5 liters

  2. I see 2 products by monin.. blackberry syrup and blackberry sangria syrup? can you use either? FYI: monin has it own website with multiple flavors and free shipping for $20 and over.

  3. At the end of recipes it says to use tuaca Italian liqueur? Can you use DiSaronno? Then it says BlackBerry or pieces of the fruit or what?

Reviews

  1. I am a Carrabbas bartender... one ingredient is missing. We add 2 ounces of sprite to every glass of sangria to give it a little bubble...makes the great sangria even better

  2. I used Sutter Home Sweet Red Wine and it turned out wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! As good if not better than Carrabbas!!!

  3. This is really great! It tastes just like the drink at Carrabbas!

  4. Absolutely WONDERFUL!!! Tasted too good to stop drinking. Dangerously delicious!

  5. I bought Tuaca Vanilla Citrus Liqueur. Will this work or is it the wrong one?

Tweaks

  1. Over the years I've tweaked this recipe to tailor to my own tastes. I found it to be too sweet with all of the Monin syrup, so instead, I use blackberry brandy in place of the syrup (or half brandy/half syrup). In doing so, this is no longer an exact Carrabba's recipe; however, it lessens the sweetness and increases the punch with the addition of more liquor ;)

  2. I did not tweak anything! It's perfect the way they do it. Peace.

  3. used melted jelly instead of syrup, and added additional sweet juice
