It is my understanding that GORP stands for Good Old Raisins & Peanuts....this is my take on it. It's a favorite around my house but watch out because the combination of sweet and salty can be very addictive.
- 16 ounces shelled dry roasted peanuts
- 1 cup shelled sunflower seeds
- 1 lb M&M's plain chocolate candy
- 1⁄2 cup raisins or 1⁄2 cup craisins
- Mix all together and store in a air-tight baggy.
I simply love this! Sunflower seeds are my latest addicition(ever since I had them for the first time in Pizza Hut here in FL, USA). Peanuts have been my all-time favourite nuts and chocolate is what the 'C' in my name stands for. When I saw this recipe, I simply put it together and voila! It is ADDICTIVE! I will have to go make some more because my dad is enjoying this just as much as I am:-) Thank you for sharing such a fun and easy to fix goodie!
I made this for vacation to take into theparks with us and this was perfect. I used craisins and it was great. I liked the combo of salty and sweet. Thank you for posting.
DH loved this! I used M&M's with peanuts because they are his favorite and dried cherries. So good and easy to put together! A great snack and I will be making it again and again! Thanks Mg for posting!
