I can solve the mystery for you - it is from the "Sundays at Moosewood Restaurant" cookbook, page 123-124. Full name is "Yellowman's Banana Lime Bread". It's a keeper for sure.

This is one of my favorite banana bread recipes! It is great for a change of pace from the typical banana bread. Thanks!

Enjoyed the flavour and texture of this bread very much..it's dense and moist with coconut overtones..used a Bundt pan just for fun.

Wow - very nice! Not your typical banana bread. The glaze was not too sweet, I boiled it down quite a bit so I think the alcohol burned off. Thanks for the post! ZWT 3

I just loved this - the sugar in the syrup gives it a slightly crispy topping especially the edges - I toasted a few oats to include with the coconut as I did not have quite enough coconut and I left out the rum in the glaze because of the children - but all in all it was a big success and I will do it again soon WITH the rum !!

This was good. I didn't really care for the "syrup" topping...it didn't ever thicken a whole lot and just kind of made a mess. Next time I might try a lime glaze and some powdered sugar. Thanks for posting!
