  1. Proper carbonara has NO MILK NO CREAM! if you put that stuff in your sauceit's not carbonara https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2015/12/pasta-carbonara-sauce-recipe.html

  2. Excellent! I think next time I will not add as much onion or no onion at all but other than that it was simple and fast. Thank you for sharing!

  3. My husband and I love this! I didn't have a problem with curdling, but I kept the heat down!! I also added some canned peas and corn to give it some color!! We will definitely be making this again!

  4. Delicious! I also didn't have bacon, but I had 500g of smoked chicken, and that worked beautifully. My only problem was my stupidity, I used a Cast-Iron frying pan, which I have just bought, I've never used a real one before, I thought that would be awesome for the sauteeing, which it was, but really bad one I added the egg, it sped up the curdelling process sooooo fast. I will try again some time once I have my brain in gear and I'm not listening to a crying baby :P The baby loved it too with his baby noodles :D

  5. Extremely good. Like the other commenter said, do -not- boil this for too long, because the sauce can and will curdle -very- easily. I would bring it almost to a boil, then add the cheese and turn off the fire to maintain the creaminess. However, a little bit of excess cream helped when the egg curdled.
