Tasty topping for fish, chicken, steaks. I top my salmon with these and, mmmmm, it makes one delicious dish.
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 -2 onion, finely sliced
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (red-wine vinegar is okay)
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- Place in saucepan, put the lid on and cook over very low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring often.
- Done when onions are soft and clear.
